Simply remove the existing acrylic sheet from the troffer and insert a PhotoLight™ Ceiling Panel. The brightness of fixtures light is subdued by the addition of a PhotoLight panel. Task lighting directed at the procedure site supports the medical professional, while the PhotoLight Ceiling Panel gives the patient a pleasing view overhead. PhotoLight™ Ceiling Panels can be replaced seasonally or rotated throughout an office to periodically provide fresh views for the patients and staff alike.
The photograph selected for a PhotoLight™ Ceiling Panel is printed directly onto film using large-format photographic printing technology. Printing on film gives higher-quality clarity and color-reproduction than printing directly onto the light panel. Our lab uses fade-resistant inks, which accurately replicate the natural colors of the original photograph. The film is either first or second-surface mounted onto 1/8" or 1/4" acrylic panels. In certain cases, a frosted acrylic will be used to eliminate hot-spots from the fluorescent or LED lighting . Hot-spots detract from the clarity of the image and increase eye-strain on the viewer. The facility personnel can clean the outside surface without concern of damaging the image. The image will not blister, peel, or flake, and the fade resistant acrylic will not sag.
Though typical light fixture troffers are 2'x 2' or 2'x4', the industry is not standardized. Slight variations in size occur from manufacturer to manufacturer. For best results, exact measurements of the existing acrylic panels should be provided when ordering Monte Nagler PhotoLight™ Ceiling Panels. Despite this customization, PhotoLight™ Ceiling Panels can be delivered in about 2 weeks from receipt of customer specifications.
